Choosing the Right Shower Basket

The best shower basket depends on what you need to store and how much wall space is available.

Compact Soap Baskets

A compact basket keeps a bar of soap secure and allows water to drain away. It is a good choice for smaller showers or as additional storage beside a larger basket.

Standard Bottle Baskets

Standard baskets hold everyday essentials such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash without occupying too much wall space. Check the basket’s depth against the size of your usual bottles.

Deep and Two-Tier Baskets

Choose a deep basket for larger or multiple bottles. Two-tier designs provide separate spaces for bottles and soap, making them particularly useful in family or shared bathrooms.

Corner Shower Baskets

Corner baskets make use of otherwise unused space and help keep the main shower walls clear. Confirm that the corner is square and that both walls are suitable for secure mounting.

Check the Dimensions

Measure the available wall space and compare the basket’s width, depth and height with the items you intend to store. Remember to allow enough space above the basket to remove tall bottles easily.

Plan Wall Fixings Early

For a secure installation, plan mounting locations before wall linings and tiles are installed. Ask your builder to place timber blocking or plywood behind the intended fixing points and record the locations with photographs and measurements.
